About our Chapter

HWBEugene is a regional grassroots chapter of Herbalists Without Borders international, coordinating and operating within its values, mission and vision. We acknowledge that we occupy unceded land located on Kalapuya Ilihi, the traditional indigenous homeland of the Kalapuya people.  We express our gratitude and respect for all the First Nations People of Oregon and strive to carry out our health justice work honorably and respectfully.

Our work and our passion is in continuous development as we grow and embrace anti-racist ethics, cultural diversity & cultural competencies. All underserved communities are our neighbors and relatives.  We aspire to cultivate meaningful relationships as we work to be of service. We acknowledge our privilege to be able to be of service to our community and do so with humility and open hearts.

We are dedicated volunteers engaging in Free People’s Clinics, Wellness Days, Street Medics, Herbal Education Days,  Community Gardens, Community Herb Apothecaries, Medicinal Seed Saving and other  important herbal health and wellness social justice volunteerism.

Herbalists Without Borders is an international all volunteer membership based NGO, 501c3 nonprofit local to global network devoted to providing compassionate holistic care to communities and countries in need impacted by natural disasters, violent conflicts, poverty, trauma and other access barriers to health and wellness.

Mission Statement:
Herbalists Without Borders vision is a global community where all people have access to affordable natural and botanical health and wellness. To bring that vision into reality, we work  to create educational, advocacy and grassroots model projects to fill the gaps in health justice  locally and internationally.
